Milepost. Dated 1819. Cast iron. Circular post with projecting quatrefoil to lower body with the date in raised letters and R&D STONE. Above this is a curved plate which is divided vertically and reads. SHARDLOW PRESTON BROOK 67 25 MILES MILES

The post terminates in a moulded domed finial.
