Description

Bridge No. 148 is a canal bridge located on the Trent and Mersey Canal in Betchton. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of random bond brick. The bridge features a single span with a central cambered arch, flanked by curved retaining walls that end in square-section brick piers. Above the parapet, there is ashlar coping, and a rectangular ashlar block is positioned above the center of the arch.
