Description
This is an early 19th-century toll house, now a private dwelling, located on Northwich Road, Knutsford. The building is constructed of brick, rendered and finished, with a roof of Welsh slate that overhangs. The front elevation has a two-window arrangement facing the road, with a canted bay to the right featuring windows set into the angled faces. There is also a window to the right, all with renewed glazing in original openings. A three-window range is visible in the return elevation to the right. The entrance is situated on the rear elevation. A single axial chimney stack is present. The interior has not been inspected.
