Description
This is a row of twelve mid-19th century stone-built workers’ cottages arranged in a street terrace. The row has stone moulded eaves and is two storeys high. Most of the cottages have one modernised window on each floor, with stone sills. Cottages numbered 4 to 9 have round-arched doorways with imposts and keystones, each featuring a solid fanlight above the door. The row runs parallel to the two terraces that form West View Terrace. Numbers 1 to 12, together with numbers 2 to 28 (even) and 1 to 29 (odd) West View Terrace, are designated as a group.
