Description

Nos. 2 and 3 Mary Street are two houses from an early 19th-century terrace, which have been converted into offices. They were restored in 1980 and are built from garden wall bond brick with ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick chimneys. Each house has two storeys and three windows. The doors are of Sunderland type, with panelled leaves that fold back to reveal inner doors. The doorcases are adorned with pilasters and an entablature, complete with bracketed plain cornices. The windows have been renewed with four-pane sashes, wedge stone lintels, and projecting stone sills. The ridge chimneys have also been renewed.
