Description

NZ 26 SW NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE PROSPECT PLACE 11/457 Prospect House 17/12/71 G.V. II House, now surgery. Circa 1840. Sandstone ashlar with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Giant pilasters at corners and flanking recessed central bay. Central double door, 8 panels each side, in Ionic case; sash window above. Prominent cornices to door and flanking paired sashes in architraves; moulded sills to these and to first-floor sashes, paired in outer bays. Gutter cornice. Hipped roof has low, segmental-headed 2-pane dormer; wide central chimney, panelled and corniced, has nine square yellow pots in a row.
