Description

The gate piers, walls, and piers at Westgate Hill Cemetery were built between 1825 and 1829 by John Green. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar. The structure features four tall gate piers, with the central pair being higher, which create entrances for both carriages and pedestrians. Each gate pier has a plinth, a banded cornice, and a top pedestal. Similar piers are spaced along the walls, which have chamfered coping.
