Description
No. 266 Westgate Road is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features painted incised stucco and a Welsh slate roof. The building has a basement and two storeys, with two bays. The entrance is a hardboard-covered door located on the right, which is set beneath a fanlight and is framed by an open-pedimented case with fluted pilasters and paterae on the frieze. The windows are plain sashes, with one on the second floor, all set in moulded wood surrounds and featuring projecting stone sills. There is a gutter cornice, and the roof includes a sash window in a pedimented dormer, along with two ridge brick chimneys.
