Description
No. 190 Westgate Road is a house built around 1825. It features a rendered basement and is constructed from English garden wall bond brick with painted ashlar dressings, topped with a felt-covered roof. The building has a basement, three storeys, and an attic, with two bays. There are steps leading up to a hardboard-covered door, which has an overlight set within a doorcase that includes pilasters and an entablature with a prominent cornice. The ground floor and both upper floors have plain sash windows with wedge stone lintels and projecting stone sills. The house also has an eaves band and a gutter cornice, along with a small square-headed dormer. Additionally, there are plain wrought-iron handrails and area railings.
