Description
Number 22 is a house from the early 19th century located in Brandling Park, Newcastle upon Tyne. It is built of English bond brick with an ashlar basement and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The house features a basement, two storeys, and an attic, arranged in two bays. There are steps leading up to a six-panelled door with a fanlight set in a round brick arch. To the right, there is a 16-paned sash window with a wedge stone lintel and a projecting stone sill. The first floor has two similar sashes with glazing bars. The eaves have a band and a gutter cornice. A later 19th-century gabled dormer with bargeboards is present, along with an end brick chimney. The right side of the house has an oriel window. Attached to the right end is a wall that has a chamfered stone plinth coping, with brick panels above and chamfered brick coping with a moulded round top. Near the house, there is a ledged boarded door under a stone lintel.
