Description

This is a terrace of three houses, built around 1830. The houses are constructed of incised stucco with a hidden roof. They have basements and two storeys, with two bays per house, creating a total of six bays for the terrace. Steps lead to six-panelled front doors; the doors of numbers 32 and 33 have glazed upper panels, and each door is set within a Tuscan doorcase featuring a high entablature and a prominent cornice. The sash windows, now renewed, are set in plain reveals and have projecting stone sills. An eaves band runs along the top of the houses, above which is a high coped parapet. The parapet features a raised central panel above each house, topped with a small gable peak that forms a finial. The words "BRANDLING PLACE" are carved in low-relief Egyptian lettering at the right-hand end of the terrace.
