Description
Number 5 is a house, now used as offices, built around 1810. It is constructed of English bond brick with a painted ashlar plinth and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and attics, featuring five bays. There are three steps leading up to the central six-panelled door, which has an overlight and is framed by an architrave surround with pilasters and a plain entablature beneath a prominent cornice. All windows have wedge stone lintels, with those on the ground floor being lengthened. The upper floors have plain sash windows and projecting stone sills on the second floor. There are bands at the former ground-floor sill and first-floor sill levels, as well as an eaves band and gutter cornice. The roof has one original dormer, flanked by two later pedimented dormers, and there are chimneys at both ends. The property is complemented by spear-headed railings and a principal urn-finialled feature that flanks the steps to the door.
