Description
This is a war memorial located about 7 metres north of the mortuary chapels on Shibdon Road in Blaydon. The memorial features a statue of a World War One soldier standing on a square pedestal. The pedestal displays the names of those who died in both World Wars on all four sides. It is surrounded by a low curb made of white granite, which is complemented by wrought iron rails and cast iron posts.
