Description

The walls, piers, and railings located to the west of Blaydon West Junior School were constructed around 1909 by T Morson. These retaining walls are made of stone and support square stone piers, which have wrought iron railings between them. They create a boundary for the entrances and playgrounds of both Blaydon West Junior and Infant Schools. Each gate pier features a flat coping and a ball finial on top.
