Description
This range of outbuildings, located 20 metres north of the Fox and Hounds Inn, dates from the early 19th century and includes stables and a smithy. The structure is made of roughly-squared stone, featuring tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof with a yellow brick stack. It is a single-storey building, with the smithy on the left side, which has a blacksmith's window and boarded double doors with alternating-block jambs, both set under timber lintels. On the right side, there is an 8-pane fixed window, followed by boarded double doors, two boarded doors, and two stable doors. The first three doorways have chamfered alternating-block surrounds. The roof is hipped to the right, with the left gable being coped and featuring an end stack. This building is included for its group value with the Fox and Hounds Inn.
