Description

The outbuilding range, located to the north of Westhills Farmhouse, is dated to the later 18th century. It is constructed of tooled stone with tooled-and-margined dressings, with roughly-squared stone to the rear, and has a Welsh slate roof. The south elevation is divided into two sections. The left section is two storeys high with one bay, featuring a boarded door and an altered window to the right, and a stone-surrounded window with old bars directly beneath the eaves. The right section is single-story with three bays, displaying three boarded doors, a four-pane casement window, and a nine-pane fixed window. The roof is very steeply pitched, with reverse-stepped gable coping and a corniced stack at the left end. The right return side shows boarded double doors beneath a segmental arch, with a boarded pitching door above. Internally, the roof features collar-beam trusses with the feet of principals set into the wall face in an upper-cruck fashion, and one level of purlins.
