Description

The outbuilding range located to the north-east of West Ditchburn Farmhouse dates from the mid-18th century. The southern part is constructed of large squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof, while the northern part is made of rubble and has a 20th-century asbestos roof. The southern section is two storeys high and consists of two bays with an irregular layout. It includes two boarded doors and two small four-pane casements positioned directly beneath the eaves. The gables are coped, and there is a stepped and corniced stack at the right end. The lower northern part on the left has an inserted sliding door on the left return, with a slab above it that is likely from another location, inscribed with "Rich Eliz Carr A.D. 1769." This building is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
