Description
No. 12 in Eglingham Village is a house that was formerly an inn, dating from around 1840. It is constructed of squared stone with tooled-and-margined quoins, dressings, and a porch, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three irregular bays. There is a chamfered plinth and a four-panel door with a two-pane overlight, located in a shallow open porch between the left bays. The windows are 12-pane sash types set in raised surrounds, with lateral projections at the head, center, and foot. The gables have pitched coping on moulded kneelers, and there are stepped-and-corniced stacks at the ends. An outshut is present at the rear. This building was formerly known as the Ogle Arms public house and is included for its group value.
