Description

The gate piers, gate, and attached walls at the entrance to Eglingham Hall date from the 18th century, with the gates likely added in the early 19th century. The piers are made of tooled-and-margined stone, while the walls are constructed from squared stone. The gates are crafted from wrought iron and feature double gates with looped fleur-de-lys heads on the bars, a foliate top rail, and a foliate cross motif below. The attached walls have chamfered coping and are designed to bow forward to the left of the gate.
