Description

This boundary stone, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 40 yards north-west of Clock Mill in Capheaton. It is made of sandstone and is a square block that stands about cola inches high. The stone is inscribed with an "S" on one side, representing Swinburne, and an "L" on the other side, representing Loraine.
