Hope House Kincraig

Hope House and Kincraig is an early 19th-century pair of houses located on Percy Terrace. The buildings are two storeys high and have five windows facing south, with two of these being three-light bow windows at each end of the elevation. They are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a band over the ground floor, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course. The hipped slate roof is complemented by two stone chimneys.

Hope House retains its original glazing bar sash windows, while Kincraig has been resashed with plate glass. The doorways are set in channelled rustication that slightly projects forward and have segmental arches with vermiculated keystones. Fluted Doric pilasters frame the four-panel doors, which have segmental lights above with circular glazing. Hope House also includes a two-window return to the street, with a ground floor band and cornice, which is extended by a lower two-storey, two-window annexe at the rear that leads to doors and a garage.
