Milepost, late C19, by Smith Patterson Ltd. of Blaydon. Cast iron, painted white with black figures. Oval top with faceted twin faces, on circular fluted shaft with maker's plate. Raised legend ALNWICK 3 MILES / CHATTON 11¾ MILES. Height 0.45 metre.
