Description
The barn, built in the late 18th century, and the gingang, constructed in the early 19th century, are located to the north-west of White House Folly Farmhouse. The barn is made of squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof. It is positioned on the west side of a foldyard group of buildings and has an attached gingang at the rear. The south end of the barn includes inserted boarded double doors, a boarded pitching door, and a reverse-stepped gable. The left side has boarded doors and slit vents on either side of the circular gingang, which is supported by six rectangular piers, including a larger stepped pair at the north and south ends. The right side of the barn, facing a covered yard, displays various blocked openings.
Inside the gingang, the roof features radial tie-beams and a central post with raking struts supporting the principals, along with two levels of curved purlins.
An adjacent range on the north side of the foldyard has a 20th-century asbestos roof and a 20th-century covered yard, which are not of special interest.
