Description
The gatepiers and gates located to the north of the Church of St. James were likely constructed in 1862. They are made of tooled ashlar and timber. The square piers feature a chamfered plinth and cross-gabled panelled caps adorned with roll-moulded cresting. The double gates have a boarded lower panel and an upper panel that includes three pierced trefoils, all framed by a stop-chamfered surround. These structures are included for their group value.
