Description
Palmstrother Bridge, which crosses the Shipley Burn, is a bridge likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from squared stone that is of near-ashlar quality. The bridge features a segmental arch, which is supported by raised voussoirs and impost blocks, and is flanked by pilasters. Below the parapet, there is a band with chamfered coping that ends in square piers with flat tops. The bridge is partly located in Eglingham Parish.
