Description

Hill View and North Cottages is a house that was formerly an inn, likely remodeled in the early 19th century from an original structure dating to the early 18th century. It is built of squared stone with dressings and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three symmetrical bays. The central entrance has a renewed door beneath a three-pane overlight, set in a tooled stone surround, and is flanked by late 19th-century sash windows. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows. Stone corbels support the eaves, and there are stone stacks at both ends of the building. The right side has an altered six-panel door under a three-pane overlight in a tall chamfered surround, along with a small fixed attic window. The rear of the building has a contemporary outshut with later openings, while the left side features a similar attic window.
