Description

The front terrace wall and railings to Hillside, Allen View, and the house to the south were constructed around 1845 as part of the former Ninebanks School. The terrace wall is made of squared stone with decorative dressings and features cast-iron elements. It has a flat coping and includes boarded cellar doors in front of the end houses. The wall supports railings adorned with urn finials and lotus standards. There are flights of stone steps leading up to the terrace at both the right end and close to the left end. Additionally, there are later railings to the left of the left-hand stair.
