Description
Allen View is the former central block of Ninebanks School, likely built around 1845 as the headmaster's house and later used as the caretaker's house. The building is constructed of rubble with dressings and features a slate roof. It has two storeys and one wide bay. To the left of the center, there is a boarded door with a five-pane overlight above it. The building also has 16-pane sash windows that include diamond panes of colored glass at the intersections, set in moulded boxes with tooled and margined lintels and sills. The gables are coped with kneelers, and there are stepped stone stacks on both the left and right gables. At the rear, there is an outshut.
