Description

Nos 20 and 22 Green Batt are two-storey buildings dating from after 1830, forming part of the Howick Street development. The buildings feature a four-window facade to the south, constructed of ashlar stone. Above the ground floor windows, there is a 6-inch blank fascia set into the masonry, along with a cill band on the first floor and a moulded eaves cornice. The slate roof is hipped to the west and is complemented by four brick chimneys. The windows are glazing bar sash types.

The doors to Nos 20 and 22 are paired off-centre to the right and include delicate glazing in rectangular lights above. No 22 has a small shop front with three pilaster strips, a double door, and glazing bars in the window. Additionally, No 22 features a basement or cellar. The Corner House, which is skewed at the corner, has five windows facing west and presents a similar elevation but with simpler glazing in rectangular lights above six-panel doors. There is a segmental arch leading to a through passage.
