Description
Nos 12 and 14 Green Batt, which also includes No 15 Chapel Lane, is an early 19th-century building. It is two storeys high and features a combination of two, three, and one windows. The structure is built of ashlar and has slate roofs with coped verges. No 12 has a first-floor cill course and a tall inserted gabled dormer. It has glazing bar sash windows with fielded panels on the shutters, and the first-floor window includes a simple shallow balcony. The front door, located to the left, is a six-panel door with the top four panels raised and fielded. No 14, known as the Black Bull Public House, features late glazing sash windows with white shutters, a central six-panel door, and a door to a through passage on the left. No 15 Chapel Lane has a casement window on the first floor, while the other windows are glazing bar sashes, including a three-window return to Chapel Lane where the door is located. The corner has a hipped roof.
