Description
Bolton Mill House is an early 19th-century house constructed from squared tooled stone, featuring tooled-and-margined quoins, dressings, and stacks, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys with three symmetrical bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an eight-pane overlight, set within a raised stone surround. The house has twelve-pane sash windows, some of which have been renewed, framed by alternating-block surrounds and slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped and include moulded kneelers, while the end stacks are stepped and corniced, with outer faces that are corbelled out from the gable ends. There is a contemporary wing at the rear right that features similar window designs. A single-storey outbuilding located to the rear left is not considered to be of special interest.
