Description
The outbuilding to the west of Bolton Hall dates from 1734 and was altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared stone with cut dressings, some of which are tooled and margined, and features a Welsh slate roof with a grey brick stack. The east elevation is one storey high and consists of four irregular bays. There are three boarded doors set in chamfered alternating-block surrounds, with the leftmost door featuring a dated lintel, along with a window in a stone surround. All openings were heightened in the 19th century. On the far right, there are boarded double doors beneath a timber lintel. The building has coped gable ends and a stepped stack with a cogged frieze along the ridge. This outbuilding is included for its group value.
