NY 97 NE CHOLLERTON B6342 (South side) 11/32 Fell House Farmbuildings with gingang

GV II

Planned farmbuildings. Early C19. Random rubble with ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roofs. 3 ranges round farmyard with gingang to rear and carriage house in centre of yard.

Rear range has large 2-storey block with 4 segmental arches to byres on ground floor and 3 hit-and-miss windows to granary over. Single-storey byre to left has partly-blocked segmental arch.

Left range is single-storey, formerly stables, now storage. Plank door to right in chamfered alternating-block surround.

Right range is in 3 sections with roofs stepping down from each section. Left part threshing barn with circular gingang to rear. Middle section was hay store with ventilation holes in gable end. Right section cart shed with 3 segmental arches. Gingang has square rubble piers and Welsh slate conical roof with ball finial.

In centre of farmyard is carriage house with segmental arch and double arched door.

Gabled roofs. Right range and carriage house have flat coping.
