Description
This is a ruined eyecatcher, possibly a dovecote, located about a quarter of a mile south-west of Homilton Farm. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of random rubble in a Gothick style. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays, measuring approximately 20 feet square, with a taller square central tower. The central doorway is pointed-arched, and there is a triangular-headed window to the right, with a similar arrangement above. The returns feature three triangular-headed recesses on each floor. The top cornice is cyma-moulded, while the central tower has a concave cornice. The building is roofless, and the rear and part of the left front walls have collapsed. It is included in the register for its landscape value.
