Description

Nos. 1 and 2 Market Place is a shop built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond, and the roof is not visible. The building has three storeys and three bays. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front, while the upper floors have 12-pane sash windows set in segment-headed surrounds, complete with brick keystones on the first floor. There is a band at the second floor, and the building is topped with a brick dentil cornice and a parapet that includes flat brick pilasters.
