Description

No. 4 Market Place is a former inn, now functioning as a shop, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick in English Garden Wall Bond and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays.

The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. The centre bay, which is slightly set forward from the wall face, is topped with a pediment. The original openings contain 2-pane sash windows with wedge lintels. Above the centre bay, there is a round window set within an open pediment. The roof is steeply pitched and gabled, with flat coping and kneelers that have ball finials.
