Description

No. 3 Market Place is a shop dated 1815, constructed from ashlar stone with a pantiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front, while the upper floors have sash windows, although the intermediate glazing bars have been removed. These windows have plain reveals and projecting sills. The date of the building is displayed in an oval panel between the first-floor windows. A moulded cornice runs along the top, and the roof is steeply pitched with a gable. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
