Description

The Hollon Fountain is a public drinking fountain located in Morpeth's Market Place. It was given in 1885 by Mr. Hollon in honour of his wife. The fountain is made of grey polished granite and features a rusticated base. It has a plinth with an inscription, a round-headed rusticated arch, and a semicircular basin on each side. The design includes a broad cornice and an ogival top adorned with large acroteria at the corners. Above the fountain, there is a Victorian lamp standard.
