NORTH SUNDERLAND INNER FARNE NU 23 NW Farne Islands 5/177 Lighthouse and Keeper's Cottage GV II Lighthouse and Keeper's cottage. 1810 by David Alexander for Trinity House, Newcastle. Lighthouse painted ashlar with lead roof. Cottage dressed stone with Welsh slate roof. Lighthouse, 3 storeys. Round and tapering with 12-pane sash on ground floor; Trinity House crest above. Balcony with curved iron railings below light. Light has square glazing bars. Domed lead roof with small lead drum. Short linking section to cottage has flush-panelled door with bracketed stone hood. 2-bay cottage has 12-pane sashes in chamfered reveals. Pyramidal roof with tall central stack.
