Description

Milestone Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. They date from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and early 19th century. The building is constructed of large, roughly-squared stone with long quoins and cut dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and a 20th-century brick chimney. It has two storeys and three bays.

There are central pairs of doorways that have raised stone surrounds; the left doorway has a boarded door, while the right doorway is partly blocked and features a 12-pane Yorkshire sash window. There is a similar window on the left side. The other windows have been replaced with 12-pane casements in the original openings. The right gable is coped and has a rebuilt stack.

To the left, there is a taller two-bay addition that has been altered and is not considered of special interest.
