Description

The forecourt walls, railings, and gatepiers to Penrhyn date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from tooled-and-margined stone and feature cast iron elements. The walls have rounded coping and support simple flat-topped railings that curve in towards a central pair of monolithic arched piers, which hold a later gate. The left return of the wall connects to Milestone Cottage. This structure is included for its group value.
