Description
Carr Well is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high, with each original cottage consisting of one bay. The openings have plain stone surrounds, and the windows are fitted with flat-faced mullions. Each cottage has a door located to the right of a 3-light window, with a 5-light window above. The door to the left cottage has been blocked and replaced with a 20th-century 2-light window. There is a stack at the left end of each cottage. At the rear, there are four 2-light windows on the first floor. A single-storey extension, added around 1980 to the right and rear, is not considered of special interest.
