Description
Nos 16 and 17 High Street, dating from around 1800, are a dwelling and an outbuilding, respectively. The building is constructed from coursed, squared, watershot stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high, with the outbuilding located at the rear and consisting of two bays. The openings have plain stone surrounds, with flat-faced mullions on the windows.
The west front, which faces the road, has quoins and a central 20th-century part-glazed door, with a two-light window to the right on each floor. There is a brick stack to the right. At the rear, the outbuilding has a boarded door with a four-light window to the left and a two-light window to the right. The two floors above the outbuilding each have a four-light window and two two-light windows, with the window above the door blocked. The building features paired plain gutter brackets.
