Description
Carr Bank is a pair of cottages, now combined into one, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins. It features a stone slate roof with a stone ridge stack and a gable-end stack. The structure is two storeys high and has a south elevation consisting of three bays.
From left to right, there is a doorway with a square-section stone surround and a plank door. Next to it is a window with a square-section surround, with a similar window above, both originally featuring a mullion. To the right, there is a 2-light square-section flush mullion window and a similar window above. This is followed by another doorway with a flush stone surround and a plank door, and finally, a 3-light square-section flush mullion window with a similar 2-light window above.
