Description

The building is a stable located approximately 30 yards east of Fenwick Steads Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings and features a pantiled roof. The stable is single storey and has ten irregular bays, which include three plank doors, one stable door, two double doors, and two half-slatted windows, all set within alternating-block surrounds. The end bays are cross-gabled, and the steeply-pitched roof has swept eaves and an old brick ridge stack.
