2/104 Stabling at approx 20m north west of The Home Farmhouse

Stables. Circa mid-late C19. Flemish bond brick walls with granite sills, window jambstones, mullions and lintels. Dry Delabole slate roof over gabled entrance otherwise felted at time of survey (13.6.85) in preparation for reslating. Gable ends. Rectangular single-depth plan of central tack room flanked by 2 identical stables or loose boxes at each side, Tudor style. Single storey. Symmetrical 2:1:2 bay south-east front. Plinth. Central projecting bay with central 4-centred doorway with original ledged door and flanking square- headed single-light chamfered windows. Gable, over, has wide verge with shaped and pieced bargeboard. Left of entrance doorway, left, 2-light chamfered mullioned window doorway and similar window. Right of entrance is mirror image with window, doorway, window, doorway. All these doorways have 4-centred brick arches and are blocked with brick. 2 mullions, far left, and right of entrance, are missing. Interior not inspected. A well planned C19 stable building with some architectural detail.
