Description
This stable, located about 30 metres west of Brick House Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof with raised coped verges and a weathervane on the right gable. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor includes a central door with a segmental head, a two-light casement window with an ovolo mullion and segmental head to the right, and a later garage opening to the left with three panes of glazing above a brick porch. There is a central oculus under the eaves.
To the right of the stable, there is a three-bay open-fronted shelter shed supported by wooden piers and topped with a pantiled roof. To the left, there is a two-bay lean-to with garage entrances, which are not considered important to the stable. Inside, the stable was formerly floored and features a three-bay roof, with one early truss remaining, along with principal rafters, a collar, and one row of purlins.
