Description

Lampley Farmhouse, now a house, was built in the early 19th century. It is located on the south side of Lampley Road in Yatton, near Kingston Bridge. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, with a rendered front, and has a pantiled roof with gable stacks. The building is laid out in an L-shape.

The front elevation has two storeys and three windows, all of which are 16-pane sash windows in plain reveals. A central panelled and glazed door is topped with a blind fanlight. The right return has a blank gable, while the left return features a lean-to addition with a four-pane light window and double doors leading to the rear. The rear of the building has a roof extended to ground floor level, encompassing a two-light casement window to the left, a door with strap hinges, a small gabled dormer with a six-pane light window, and a lean-to at the rear right containing a door.

Inside, the farmhouse features panelled doors. A room to the left includes a wide fireplace with a moulded architrave and an original hob-grate, which remains in working order.
