Rendered rubble, stacks raised in brick; corrugated iron roof covering, perhaps originally thatched. Lower extension and return wing double Roman or pantile. A cross-passage original unit, with stack to parlour to left of entry; a lower extension left has a return wing coming forward, giving an L-plan, with a one storey lean-to far left. Two storeys, various wood casements: ground floor front has 3-light to left of door in gabled porch, then a 3-light and a part-glazed door. Above is a square opening, over the porch, and a small 2-light to right. Hipped end, to road, has 3-light at ground floor. Back mainly plain, has flush gable to left, and a small 2-light at ground floor. Interior (VAG report) retains 4-compart- ment ceiling with C16 moulded beams and a large open fireplace with wood lintol carrying series of trefoil-headed panels; jambs run to half-diamond stop. At first floor is an elliptical-headed door frame, plain chamfered with half-pyramid stops. The roof is not accessible. (VAG Report, Cdr Williams, July 1986: unpublished).
