Description

The Grange is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid-18th century with later alterations, including an early 19th-century rear wing. It is constructed of rubble with large limestone quoins and has a pantiled roof featuring raised coped verges and gable stacks. The building is laid out in an L-plan and has two storeys with three windows, all of which are sashes with splayed stone heads. There is a central 20th-century gabled porch that has a panelled and glazed inner door.

On the left side, there is a lean-to and a small two-light attic casement. The right side features a large external weathered stack, a ground and first-floor two-light casement with stone segmental heads to the right, and a small two-light attic casement with a segmental head. The lower two-storey rear wing has a ground floor 20th-century plate-glass window and a first-floor two-light casement with a segmental head. The rear wing also includes a lean-to at the gable end, a half-glazed door, and a four-pane sash window under the eaves on the inner side. The rear of the main house has a half-glazed door and a 20th-century plate-glass window, with two 20th-century windows on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
